Nine days from the Mediterranean to the Seine. We book the hotels and the trains. You fly into Nice, meet Your Group on the first evening if you like, and explore each city at your own pace.
Three cities, three rhythms. Nice for sea and light. Avignon for slow lunches and vineyards. Paris for everything else. Your Route lives in the app: where you are staying, when the train leaves, what is worth a walk, and hours of free time on purpose. Add a boat day, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine afternoon if you like; skip them if you don't.
Everything planned. Nothing forced. This is the route we would send a friend on, with a group to share it and no one telling you where to stand.
Comes with every booking
The Guideless app runs the trip. You enjoy it.

Two ways to do this
One itinerary, or your trip.
Traditional group tour
- Fixed itinerary, decided for you
- Mandatory activities and group meals
- Large groups and a guide everywhere you go
- One price for the whole thing
Guideless
- Start with the essentials: hotels, trains, the app
- Choose your accommodation tier and the experiences you want
- Your days are yours; the itinerary is a plan, not a schedule
- Add more later, from your account or the app
- Meet the group when you want to, not because you have to
Where you stay
Pick your tier.
What each price band buys you: the area, how far it is, and what is in the price. You see the actual properties when you build the trip. The same four tiers apply to add-ons.
- Explorer
- Best price. More basic accommodation. Maximum value.
- Classic
- The standard Guideless experience.
- Premium

You book
Flights
Fly into Nice (NCE) and out of Paris (CDG or ORY). We tell you exactly when to arrive.
Most meals
Breakfast is included. The rest is yours — we have recommendations.
Travel insurance
Strongly recommended, and yours to arrange. Our cancellation policy refunds what we control; insurance covers your flights, your health and everything you booked yourself.
Museum and attraction tickets
Yours to buy, as and when you choose. Experiences we can book for you are optional extras, priced separately.
Optional add-ons
The Riviera boat day, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine afternoon, dinner at L'Ambassade d'Auvergne, a private airport transfer, an extra night in Paris. Pick them at booking or any time in the app, and pay only for what you choose.
Before you book.
What everyone on this trip has to be able to do. Check these now, not in May.
Check passport, visa and entry requirements for your nationality
For most non-EU travelers visiting France, a passport must have been issued within the previous 10 years and be valid for at least 3 months after leaving the Schengen Area. Nationality and residence affect visa and document requirements. Check Your Europe's official passport and visa guidance. Before departure, check ETIAS eligibility and current launch guidance at travel-europe.europa.eu/etias; it does not apply to every traveler.
Ages 8 and up, with a parent or guardian
The person booking must be 18 or over. Everyone else must be at least 8 on the departure date, and anyone under 18 travels with a parent or legal guardian named on the same booking for the whole trip; each adult can bring up to two children. The wine afternoon and the cellar visit are tastings for adults, and some other extras show their own minimum age. We check dates of birth when you book. If you give us a false date of birth, you lose your deposit and the booking is cancelled without refund.
Travel insurance
Strongly recommended, and yours to arrange. Our cancellation ladder is generous early and falls away as our own commitments become non-recoverable; a policy covers the gap.
The company behind your trip.

From the founder
Guideless comes from many miles in Europe and the same observation every time: nobody wanted a guide, and everybody wanted the annoying parts handled. So we book the hotels and the trains, then get out of the way.
Nobody from Guideless travels with the group. There is no guide and no substitute for one: the company books the trip, the app carries it, and you can request support when you need help. Someone may be on a departure with a camera, checking how it actually went. That is the extent of it, by design.

Questions about this trip.
Is there really no guide?
There is no tour guide. Your itinerary, maps, recommendations and support live in the Guideless app. The in-app assistant answers at any hour, and people at Guideless cover 8 AM to 10 PM in your local time while you travel.
Do I have to do things with the group?
No. Group moments are optional. Many travelers come to the first evening and add the wine afternoon, and otherwise go their own way.
What if my train is late or a hotel has a problem?
Message support in the app. We see your trip, your itinerary and today's route, and we fix it.
Can I book for two people?
Yes. Add each traveler at checkout. Everyone gets their own room unless two of you choose to share one, which lowers the price for both.
What are add-ons?
Optional extras with their own price: the Riviera boat day, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine afternoon, dinner at L'Ambassade d'Auvergne, a private airport transfer, an extra night in Paris. Choose them when you book or later in the app. The app shows who else from Your Group is doing each one.
When do I meet the group?
Your Group opens in the app as soon as you book: see who is coming, say hello, or don't. In person, it starts with an optional meet-up at 8 pm on night one.
Read before you decide.
What this trip costs, and how it compares with the other ways to do it.
Nothing is included except the hotel level and the trains: what that means
A Guideless trip includes the hotel level you chose and the trains the route needs. Everything else is an extra you add or skip. Here is why, using our Southern France trip.
ReadWhat the price buys, line by line
What the headline price of our nine-day Southern France trip covers, and what it leaves to you: flights, meals, insurance, tickets and optional extras. We sell this trip.
ReadWhy the price is for your own room
On scheduled trips we price per person with your own room, and treat sharing as a choice. At most two travelers on one booking may share; here is why, and what they pay.
ReadThe free days: how one group works across four hotel levels
Four hotel levels, one Route. On our Southern France trip the hotel is the only thing that differs, and the free days and free group moments are where people end up together.
ReadGuided tour, do it yourself, or Guideless: a fair comparison
One route, three ways to do it: a guided tour, booking it all yourself, or the hotels and trains booked with the days left to you. Planning time, responsibility, cancellation and cost, side by side. From the company that sells the third.
ReadAn Intrepid alternative: what a group leader gives you, and travelling without one
Intrepid runs small groups with a local leader. This is an honest look at what that leader does for you, what changes without one, and how the prices compare. From a company that sells the trip without the leader.
