1. Who this is between
This is between Guideless LLC, trading as Guideless Travel ("Guideless", "we"), and you — the person whose creator link we approved. It starts when we approve you and runs until either of us stops it.
It applies alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you are a company building on our API, selling under your own brand, or taking payment from travellers, the Partner Agreement governs that instead of this one, and it is a longer document because that is a bigger arrangement.
See also Partner Agreement, Terms of Service.
2. What you do, and what you do not
- You share your link. It works on any page of our site, so you can point people at the trip you actually wrote about rather than at a landing page.
- You do not sell anything. The traveller books with Guideless, pays Guideless and is looked after by Guideless, under our Terms of Service and Booking Agreement. You are not our agent, our employee or our reseller, and nothing here makes you one.
- You do not handle anybody's money, booking or personal details, and we never send you a traveller's name, contact details or itinerary.
- You do not need to buy a trip, hold stock, or spend anything to take part.
3. What earns commission
- A booking earns commission when somebody arrives through your link and that booking is confirmed. The amount is a flat sum for each confirmed booking — the same whichever trip, whichever tier and however many travellers are on it — and it is published on the creator page and on your dashboard.
- We remember your link for 90 days. Someone who clicks it today and books in two months still counts; someone who arrives through a different creator's link in the meantime counts for them, because the last link a traveller used is the one that gets paid.
- Commission is on the trip itself. Optional extras — tickets, transfers, dinners — earn nothing, because we sell those at or near what they cost us and there is no margin in them to share.
- A booking that carries no link earns nothing. We cannot pay on a booking we cannot see your link on, so use the link rather than telling people your name.
4. When it is paid
After the trip has run, not when it is booked. A booking confirmed in October for a departure next May can still be cancelled in April, and paying you in October would mean asking for it back. We would rather wait than send you an invoice.
- Your dashboard shows each booking as earned while the trip is still ahead, then as payable once the departure has ended.
- We pay payable commission by the method you gave us, in the currency the booking was made in. If you have earned in two currencies you will be paid twice, because that is two transfers.
- Once a payment is made we record the date, the amount and the reference on your dashboard. If something does not match, tell us and we will look at the same rows you are looking at.
- We do not withhold tax for you and we are not your employer. What you owe on this where you live is yours to declare.
5. What earns nothing
- A booking that is cancelled or refunded. Commission on it is reversed, whether or not the trip had run, and set off against what we next owe you.
- Your own booking, or one made by someone in your household. Self-referral is not a sale you made, and our system refuses it rather than leaving it to good faith.
- A booking you paid for, discounted, rebated or otherwise bought. If you want to give your audience something, ask us — do not fund it out of the commission.
- Anything that comes from misrepresenting us: inventing an availability, a price, a discount or an inclusion, describing a trip in a way our own pages do not support, implying there is a guide, or claiming we endorse the rest of what you do.
- Traffic you did not honestly earn — bought clicks, bots, spam, cookie stuffing, or bidding on our brand name in a way that makes you look like us.
- Repeated or deliberate breaches of this clause end the arrangement as well as the payment.
6. What you say about us
- Say what you think. We do not approve posts, we do not ask for a script, and a critical review with your link on it is still a review we will pay commission on.
- Describe the trip as our own pages describe it. Prices move, departures sell out, and what is included is on the trip page — check it rather than repeating an older post.
- You may use our name in plain text. Our logo, our photography and our trip copy need our written permission first, and we can withdraw it.
- Do not make promises on our behalf, and do not use a handle, a domain or an advert that a traveller could mistake for us.
- We may quote or reshare what you post about us, with credit. Tell us if you would rather we did not.
7. Ending it
- Either of us can stop this at any time, for any reason, by saying so. No notice period and no penalty.
- We may switch your link off immediately where we think clause 5 or clause 6 has been broken, or where an audience is at risk of being misled. We will tell you why.
- Commission already earned on a booking that goes on to run is still yours, and we will still pay it after the departure.
- When it ends, stop using your link and take our name and marks out of your profile. Clauses 5, 8 and 9 survive.
8. You must tell your audience
This is the clause we care most about, and it is not optional. If you earn money when somebody books through your link, the people reading you have to be told that, clearly, in the same place as the link and before they click it.
- Say it plainly and in your own words — "I earn a commission if you book through this link" is enough. It has to be visible without expanding a caption, opening a description, scrolling past the post, or hovering over anything.
- Say it on every post, story and video that carries the link, not once in a bio. A platform's built-in paid-partnership label is welcome and is not a substitute for saying it yourself.
- If we ever send you a trip, a discount or anything else of value, say that too.
- This is the US Federal Trade Commission's rule on endorsements, and equivalents exist in most places you are likely to be reading from. It is the law for you, not a preference of ours, and we will end this arrangement over a breach of it before we would over anything else here.
- Never post a review of a trip you have not taken, and never present our copy as your own experience.
9. Your details
We keep your name, your contact address, how you reach people, your payout method and the bookings your link earned, because we cannot pay you without them. We handle it under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it, and we do not show one creator anything about another.
Your dashboard is yours. It shows your own bookings, your own earnings and your own payments, and nothing about our costs, our other creators or the travellers themselves.
See also Privacy Policy.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update this agreement; the version at the top changes when we do and we will email approved creators before a material change takes effect. A change never affects commission already earned on a booking made before it. This agreement is governed by the laws of Delaware, United States.
Questions, a problem with a payment, or something you want to do that this does not obviously allow: hello@guidelesstravel.com. Ask before, not after — it is nearly always a yes.
